Will students be able to get into college?

Our school uses a mastery based curriculum that assures students receive passing scores above 80%. This will ensure that students have a high GPA along with the mastery of fundamental knowledge of all courses they take. Most colleges and universities are looking for students with strong work ethic and discipline. Our program ensures that we are developing these skills in our students from kindergarten through level 12. 

Is the staff qualified?

Our staff is academically competent with degrees and experience in their respective roles. Our support staff attend Christian Educators training through Accelarated Christian Education and ORU ef. 

Is this school legal?

The Supreme Court has ruled that based on the First Amendment of the US Constitution the church has a right to educate their children without government interference. Our school is operated as a “church-school”. Meaning the school is under the jurisdiction of the church and its administrators. We file a private school affidavit with the California Department of Education yearly. As per the California Department of Education (CDE) we offer full time instruction with a full complement of academic subjects at the elementary, middle and high school levels. We are held directly responsible and accountable to our parents and students.

What are the academic standards that the school follows?

The school provides an adopted course of study across kindergarten through grade 12 that includes instruction in the following areas of study:

 

  1. English: Develops the knowledge and appreciation of literature and language, development in the areas of speaking, reading, listening, spelling, handwriting and composition. 

  2. MATH: Develops the knowledge of concepts, operational skills, and problem solving.

  3. SOCIAL SCIENCES: Draws upon the disciplines of anthropology, economics, geography, history, political science, psychology, and sociology. It is designed to fit the maturity level of the student. Instruction provides a foundation for understanding the history, resources, development of California and the United States of America. Depending on the student’s level, students will also learn about the American economic system including the role of the entrepreneur and labor, the relations of people to their human natural environment, eastern and western cultures and civilizations, contemporary issues and the wise use of natural resources.

  4. SCIENCE: The course of study includes biological and physical aspects, with emphasis in the process of experimental inquiry and on the place of humans and ecological systems.

  5. HEALTH: Instruction in the principles and practices of individual, family, and community Health.

  6. PHYSICAL EDUCATION:  Places an emphasis on physical activities that students may engage into to have a conductive and healthy life for a total period of time of not less than 200 minutes each 10 school days.
